Overview
Financial Affairs was established in Government of Ajman by virtue of The Emiri Decree No. (8) of 2002, and in 2010, it was reorganized to be Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs under The Emiri Decree No. (4) of 2010, and in 2012 it was reorganized to be The Department of Finance under The Emiri Decree No. (15) of 2012. The Department of Finance provides distinguished financial services that contribute to achieving sustainable development for The Emirate of Ajman, as well as enhancing the state competitiveness.
The department endeavors to achieve this by supervising all financial affairs of The Emirate Government, by preparing the annual general budget for the government of Ajman and implementing it, in cooperation with all local government authorities, issuing final accounts, and supervising public revenues.
As well, The Department of Finance also supervises updating and approval of government resources and the means for developing it, in cooperation with the concerned government authorities, preparing draft laws and local decrees related to financial affairs, besides providing consultations and technical support to government departments in the areas of applications of the unified financial system for The Government of The Emirate.
