Department of Finance in the Emirate of Ajman held a course on updating local fees and fines, in the presence of project coordinators from the financial staff of the local government departments and agencies. This comes in fulfillment of one of the pillars of the UAE Vision 2071, and in line with the UAE digital government strategy, which is concerned with forming a clear map of government work, investing primarily in national cadres, and working to ensure the continuity of sustainable development. The course aimed to discuss and present the proposed work mechanisms to review the financial burdens on economic establishments in light of local and global economic changes; With the aim of encouraging investors by providing an investment environment that runs the procedures for obtaining services at the highest level of smoothness and ease, and raising the level of the institutional work system by providing accurate data that enables decision makers to develop appropriate plans and take effective decisions in support of the development process and the creation of a better future. Tariq Al Marzouqi, Director of the Revenue Follow-up Section at the Ajman Department of Finance, said: The department is keen to continue positive developments, maintain the level of services provided, and achieve optimal use of financial resources by enhancing the capabilities of employees and enabling them to view best practices in the field of updating government service fees and fines for violations. And the criteria to be taken into consideration when preparing benchmarks for fees and fines related to the practice of economic activities in the Emirate of Ajman.
