The Ajman Government Finance Department won the Best Financial Planning Award and the Best Budget Systems and Procedures Award for the Public Sector category presented by FINANCE INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL 2019, in its eighth session, where the department outperformed a group of government and private sector institutions from different countries of the world. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Department of Finance, indicated that these prestigious awards are a testimony and confirmation of the Department of Finance’s progress towards developing financial planning procedures and systems in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamil bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Council The Supreme Ruler of Ajman in establishing a strong and diversified economy that improves the competitiveness of the UAE economy, and contributes to achieving Ajman Vision 2021. He added that this achievement confirms the department's constant endeavor to reach the best administrative and methodological practices in the field of public finance, and that these awards are added to the rich pioneering record of the Ajman government in particular, with its various institutions, and the UAE in general. For his part, His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department, said that the international awards won by government agencies are the result of implementing the directives of the wise leadership and their continuous follow-up. They are based on international standards, and are evaluated according to a systematic process that contributes to developing government performance and enhancing the image of the Emirate. and the state in global competitiveness, and it is positively reflected on the performance of those entities and the services they provide. In a related context, Abdullah Al Janahi, Director of Government Budgets Department in the department, indicated that the distinction is due to the enhancement of financial planning processes and procedures in the Ajman government and their development through the smart financial planning and analysis system, in order to achieve financial sustainability.
