The Ministry of Finance announced the launch of the third generation of the e-dirham system, in cooperation with a new group of government agencies and national banks to facilitate the collection of state fees and revenues and provide more options for customers that enable them to pay government services fees and perform their transactions in an easy manner and within the highest levels of information security. The Ministry indicated that all customers can now pay government services fees using the new e-dirham. The new phase of the system included the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Emirates Development Bank, Ajman Department of Finance, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zayed University, and many national banks, including Commercial Bank of Dubai, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Ras Al Khaimah Bank, and Fujairah Bank . Younis Al-Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, said the e-dirham system has witnessed rapid development since its launch, embodying the best practices followed globally in financial technology and digital payment systems, and it has launched towards promising horizons, as it provided customers with unprecedented levels of flexibility and security to raise the level of their satisfaction and happiness. With the rise in the levels of digital transformation of the e-dirham system, customers are now able to make payments and complete transactions directly by downloading the e-dirham application “Mubasher” on their smartphone without cards, which provides them with high efficiency and unprecedented access, and all they have to do is link their account Banking in one of the banks participating in the system with the application. The new generation of the e-dirham includes 3 cards with different benefits, including the “Hala Card”, a card that suits new customers of individuals wishing to pay for one time, as it does not require registration or even the submission of documents, and it can be filled with a balance of up to 3500 dirhams as a maximum, and the “Golden Card” » It is a prepaid card with multiple options for recharging the balance and suitable for multiple payment transactions and regular payments and requires registration to provide an additional level of security, and the “Premium Card” which is a prepaid card that is customizable and requires registration, and is suitable for individuals and companies with high balances without a maximum recharge limit Balance. On the other hand, the Department of Finance in Ajman announced the linking of the Ajman smart payment gateway services to the third generation e-dirham card, thus becoming the first local government agency to provide third-generation cards with an option to pay in its system to collect the financial compensation for the services of local government agencies in the Emirate of Ajman. Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, said we are pleased that the Ajman Smart Payment Gateway is the first payment system for a local government to link its services to the third generation of e-dirham, which represents a qualitative leap that advances electronic payment processes to become more smooth and secure.
