Ajman Finance holds a workshop entitled Internal Audit, Your Business Partner

The Department of Finance in Ajman held a workshop yesterday entitled Internal Audit, Your Partner in Business, which was presented by the Internal Audit Office as part of its plan to introduce the department’s employees to the importance of the role of internal audit in achieving the department’s goals and strategy. A number of Department employees from various departments and sections participated in the workshop, in the presence of His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department. Jassim Bu Osaiba, Director of the Department's Internal Audit Office, said that the workshop is a reflection of the department's head's aspirations to spread awareness of the importance of internal auditing at work. The workshop included many axes, the most important of which was the role of internal audit in achieving the objectives and strategy of the department and the tasks of the internal audit office. The plan to establish the internal audit office in the department was discussed after the completion of the first phase, which is to issue a charter and guide for internal auditing in the department. The workshop included several discussions about what was raised, as well as many inquiries that were answered by the Director of the Internal Audit Office in the department, which were clarified to the participants. He explained that the office is in the process of issuing the strategic internal audit plan 2020-2022 in the coming days, which is the final stage for establishing the office, and therefore the audit office will practice its activities in order to achieve control over operations and add value to the organizational units in the department.
